This assignment was very personal to me. I used symbols and objects that represent my life. I used a variety of scanned objects, images from the internet and some magazine images. This was my first time really using Photoshop. I had fun playing around with the sizes, transparency and placement of the objects. I enjoyed experimenting with the placement of objects the most because I feel like I could go on forever playing around with the placement.
I liked seeing the use of placement in your different montages as well. I looks like you are well traveled by the different images you used in this project. I also like the use of your background, being space and still room for you to grow and see more. Very cool
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteInteresting work. A good first stab at photoshop. Honestly your imagery feels a bit like strangers in an elevator terrified to touch each other! You have largely isolated your image elements very comfortably in the visual plane - think of how different these would look had you overlayed and allowed for an interplay between these various image elements.

I really enjoy your triptych. It reminds me of visiting Disney World! Very magical, indeed. Is your background one solid piece? It reminds me a very beautiful piece of scrap-booking paper. I also like how you brought certain pieces to life my making them appear closer to you. All three of them actually remind of individual postcards, which is pretty neat, as well. I am thinking what it would look like if some of the pieces were possibly more rounded? Awesome work!
